Job Summary

Responsible for day to day operations of Patient Care Unit. Maintains staffing, responds to personneland process needsof the assigned unit. Managers urgen and emergent situations as they arise. Faciliates commuinication and patient care needs inter/intra departmentally. Responsible for patient rounding, AIDET, Patient Engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance for PCU Staffing
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Performance Improvement
  • Staff Meetings
  • Policy and Procedure review and implementation
  • Mandatory Education Requirements Completion by staff
  • Budget and Strategic Planning-fiscal management
  • Other duties and responsiblities as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 2-5 Years experience managing a post surgical/med surg unit with leadership and supervisory ability.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required
  • Current RN licensure by Oklahoma Board o Nursin, current CPR, ACLS
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and written.
  • Ability to manage a team and work within a team to ensure quailty patient care.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinkink skills.
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years experience as an RN in a patient care setting with demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability. Previous management experience preferred
  • Able to work independently and function in a clinical day to day setting.
