Our Legacy & Expertise
Built in 1999, Oklahoma Spine Hospital began as a collaborative effort between several pain and spine physicians. Every investment we make prioritizes patient comfort, clinical excellence, and best‑in‑class facilities. This specialization has enabled the hospital to develop deep, uncommon proficiency in complex spine care and has set our team apart as a regional leader in the field. For decades, our team has been proud to recruit and retain expert clinicians dedicated to spine and pain health for Oklahomans.
A New Chapter: Our Partnership with SSM Health
In early 2026, Oklahoma Spine Hospital entered a joint‑venture partnership with SSM Health, marking an exciting new chapter in our history. Through this partnership, SSM Health in Oklahoma acquired a majority ownership interest in the hospital while our physicians retained the remaining ownership stake.
This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide exceptional spine and pain care by combining our specialty expertise with the operational excellence, innovation, and statewide resources of SSM Health—an Oklahoma health care leader serving communities since 1898.
The hospital now operates under our new name: SSM Health Oklahoma Spine Hospital, Physician Owned.
Our physicians continue practicing under the existing medical staff structure, and all employees remain part of the Oklahoma Spine Hospital team you know and trust.
